Our room smelled TERRIBLE. The mattresses on the beds were terrible spring mattresses that we're probably made in the 80s. My pillow had old mascara smudges on it. There was no elevator. There was a free breakfast, but it ended promptly at 9 a.m. But some of the staff were nice.
Great hotel and staff. We love the convenience of the location. The beds are comfortable and the staff is helpful and kind. There is a mildew smell in most rooms. (We have stayed in 3 different rooms at this location.) It is clean, a few scuffs and dings on the walls, counters, fixtures, but clean. The bathrooms do not have ventilation which is the main cause for the mildew smell, in my opinion. Breakfast is awesome! Waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausage and eggs, muffins, bagels and toast, cereal, coffee and juice. Microwave the biscuits for 20 seconds and they will be warm and soft. :)
This place is a definite pass it up!!! I had come off the road from a long trip made a quick reservation which was noted non refundable. I asked the representative ig i could check in early and still maintain the entire reservation and was told yes. So they checked me in and i went to my room. The room was filthy. Rug dirty bathroom contained black mold. I was tired and they had accommodated me so i thought for being exhausted until the owner a man from india called my cell phone later in the day informing me to get out. I'm trying to explain what i had been told by his representative and that i had paid he didn't want to hear it and called the police . i was informed that owners could take your money and still ask you to leave at their own discretion made no sense to me that they're allowed to do such money schemes and get away with it. But i left peacefully. My money taken. Avoid this place at all cost. Also should you be desperate ask to see their rooms first. After leaving The Baymont i found that there were much cleaner better lodgings up the highway for the same price. Be careful choosing this one it's not a good nor fair place to stay.At ALL.
I've been here a couple of nights and I've been pretty satisfied. The room is clean... the water in the shower is hot and the pressure is good. My room not only had a mini-fridge and microwave and the usual 'one cup coffee maker' but also a 2-burner stove. The complimentary breakfast could go later than 9am.. but all in all.. its been a good experience so far... yet to see a bug anywhere.. and 0 bedbug sightings.
Hotel was nicely located right off the highway. We stayed in a room facing away from the highway, so it was quieter. Room was clean, but very basic. Nothing fancy. My biggest complaint was probably how thin the "comforters" were as they felt like just another sheet - I was cold!
