It is a beautiful campus. The meals were lacking. The part that makes me give it such a low score is the communication from the staff. I was the one that admitted my mother for rehab and instead of talking to me, they spoke with her. I walked into her room and saw her discharge date written down on a piece of paper. Some of the nursing staff "looks down their noses" at me when I attempt to get information from them regarding my mother's care or any questions that I ask. No one can tell me the correct information about picking her up for outings. One person told my mom that there was a time limit. When I asked for myself, I was told that there wasn't a time limit. Then I received a call that I had to bring her back because I needed orders from the doctor and I did not have the authority to take her out. I should have known there was going to be an issue with the communication from the jump because the day that she was to be admitted (a Friday), no one knew who she was. Instead of being able to be discharged from the hospital and taken straight to this facility like her PCP ordered, she had to stay home alone for 2 days due to the face that we were not made aware that there would not be placement for her. Had we know, before hand, there could have been arrangements made to take off work to go be with her (2 hours away) or arrangements for her to be brought to our town. I have been calling this place for the last 3 hours to try to speak with someone, but no one has answered. I will be removing my mother as soon as I am able.
