Here is what happens after you buy a house in Murfreesboro. They tear out all the trees, then constant construction, blasting and drilling starting at 7 AM every day around your new house. They stick a giant Walmart next door that takes two years to build, then change the zoning from Townhomes to apartments and put'em in the front yard, dropping your property value. I've never been so thankful to move out of an area.
Called the listing agent for a home listed in Smyrna on Brookhaven Trl. I told the agent that my wife and I were very interested at looking at the home. He immediately when on a spiel that we were in a lease on a home until February, how he knows that is beyond me since I didn't tell him that, and we had plenty of time to look for a home. He said buyers now where looking for quick closes and didn't want to wait to sell a house. He did ask me how soon we wanted to close and I told him around the first of the year, which I was told by my lender that it was around 45 days to close a house now so I thought we were looking at the right time especially since this house needs updates and I would have had enough time to complete them before we had to move out of our lease. I guess this guy thought we weren't able to handle 2 payments for a couple of months and we were very put off with his stuffy, presumptive attitude that I just ended the conversation with him. We are pre-approved for a home loan for alot more than we were looking at but I assure you that we will not be dealing with this realty company if this is their attitude toward buyers.
I can understand progress. What I can't understand is being lied to by a smiling realtor about a major investment in real estate that's about to become an endless construction-zone nightmare.
