In a very short period of time, I was shown to the room. Soon thereafter, Mendy had figured out what was wrong with me, and prescribed the correct meds. That night, I was finally able to sleep, as I was on the mend.
How can one person be capable of such sorcery, you ask? Well, she is a medically-trained professional who asked a lot of pertinent questions, and actually listened to the patient's answers. That’s how!
Where we go from here:
On to the review:
Going forward, Hometown Family Medical will be my primary care clinic—even though it is very much out of my way.
Love this place so much and Dr Mendy is so great sweet nice and all the above she goes out of her way to find out your problem and does not judge you in any way the nurses are so sweet also always have a smile on there face would go no where else
In today's climate, people go out of their way to complain via online review, phone call, or strongly worded e-mail; they are less likely to go out of their way to offer praise.
Up until last week, I used another doctor for my primary medical needs.
Love this office! They are super fast, and truly care about their patients well-being. The nurses are so sweet.
(I usually complain via Carrier pigeon. It gets my point across and scares the hell out of rude staff.)
Called to make an appointment the lady was super rude and told me to go to my PCP I tried explaining to her that it was too far for me to go over there, that I was trying to get something closer but she still sent me to hell over inflated ego
Anyway, I would love to stay and extol the virtues of this great medical staff, but I have a Carrier pigeon to hire. Comcast has pissed me off for the last time.
(In the interest of full disclosure, there was a small ceremony whereby we conjured a 400-year-old spirit while chanting over a vat of slowly boiling “cow bone” soup. But, I seriously doubt the ceremony had anything to do with my quick turnaround—not with cow bone soup, anyway; that’s just crazy!)
(I’ve used Hometown Family Medical in the past for weekend ailments, labs, etc., but it is at least an hour drive from work and home, so the location is not convenient for me.)
Sadly, like most doctors these days, my prior doctor did not listen to what I was saying. It took her about a minute to say "hello," to talk over me, to misdiagnose me—and then to prescribe meds that did not help at all.
After “firing” my primary care doctor, I set up an appointment with Hometown Family Medical that day (Monday). As usual, the receptionist was friendly, and the president (Brian) was ready with a smile.
I met with the doctor and with the president Brian Biggs regarding their TRT therapy. I have to say that the nurses, doctors and all the employees there are very professional and knowledgeable. I have been going there for TRT, and have taken my family there for all their medical needs and I have yet to be disappointment. If you are in the area and think you have low testosterone with low testosterone symptoms give them a call and schedule an appointment. Living with low testosterone is not pleasant and can cause complications down the road.
I like that they have legitimate “walk in” hours, and not your run-of-the-mill “walk in, sit for two hours, see the doctor for one minute, and be quickly pushed out of the door as we re-swipe your HSA card” hours.
But, that’s not how I live my life.
Come to think of it, I’m pretty sure that I was just hallucinating from the lack of sleep that stemmed from the substandard medical care rendered by my prior doctor. I feel confident in the rest of the story though. No worries there.)
