Actual Doctors
So far a good experience with the staff and Dr. The surgery went okay they just weren't able to get my pain under control but that was mostly due to issues of mine. I felt I was released when my body definitely wasn't ready. The hospital Dr promised a good regimen to keep my pain at bay and that wasn't true I was sent home in lots. And every time I call the office i never hear nothing back for three days. Hopefully the rest of my experience will be better. I know I have quite a ways to go.
They DO NOT understand that some people work full time jobs and get off of work at 4pm, which they close at 5pm so that time slot is never open and I would need to take off of work constantly in order to make it. I was supposed to get a Physical Therapy session 2 times a week but I can barely get 1 or none at all. They utterly fail at being any kind of flexible.
Dr Johns is amazing. He's been treating a knee injury of mine and has made a world of a difference for me. I would recommend to anyone needing an orthopedist in the area.
Dr. Ledbetter was the worst Dr I have ever met. The ER referred me to his office because I was in there 2 nights (over the weekend) with major pain in my back and my known bone disorder. He talked to me like I was a dog the whole time. Didn't touch or even look at my spine. He kept asking me why I even came, like I was wasting his time. I explained it wasn't my choice the ER referred me to him. He acted unconcerned the whole time and kept cutting me off everytime I would try to explain to him my pain. My mother came to the visit with me ( I couldn't even drive because of the pain). She was gone for the first half of the visit which didn't even last 10 minutes. When she came back into the room he started backing off but still talking with complete lack of respect. As we were leaving his nurse was trying to hand me 3 prescriptions even though I told him 2 of those I already had from the hospital.
The staff are actually very nice and tolerant, though a little slow when you call in to set up an appointment, took them 3 days to call me back once. The Doctors know their stuff and if you tell them that you are a little strapped for cash they understand and try to find cheaper means to help you.
Physical Therapy (STAR)
Beware!! I would give 0 stars if possible. Doctor was in room for 5 minutes and I was charged $336. I was charged for a “ new patient” exam. There was no exam. Called billing to ask exactly what a “new patient “ exam consist of. The response... “ whatever the doctor wants to do”. BEWARE!!
