Terrible. They were suppose to do basic pointing and step repairs. Unsupervised. Did not remove old mortar, put new mortar over top but on only half the brick instead of whole brick. Repaired old step with wrong step color and size. Expected me to supervise. The crew didn't even know what they were suppose to do. I complained to Mr.. LaGreen who said he was there. If so they have real problems. Paid him to make him go away and then hired a professional. Lost my money. Wife is so mad she wants to sue them. Ruined our steps. New repair guy was able to find exact size and color without much looking. I believe LaGeen just bought the cheapest brick they could find...I would never use them again or recommend them.
NOTE: This review is not regarding work performed, but for initial call, visit and quote. Essentially, a call was placed for repair work to brick around home. Good reviews online, so I asked for them to visit for an estimate. An appointment was made for the following week to have them come out and review work to be done and give an estimate. They showed up three days early, on a weekend while enjoying time off with my family. SO I had to stop doing that to accommodate the people who I may hire. First fail. Come when expected, or call. After work to be done was reviewed, this provider had the audacity to request hundreds of dollars as a "deposit" for work yet to be performed. I don't brag about what I have, because I work hard for it. I have a $400,000 home....in a respected area...I'm not going to give anyone a deposit on repair work....are you kidding me. NO respectable and licensed/insured contractor would ever ask for this. In my mind he was already fired...but I let him do his thing and I then asked if they could provide a written estimate, and then how long it would take to get started. He proceeded to show me names addresses and phone numbers of clients he had work orders on, telling me "these people have already paid this amount". Excuse me...I should have told your people before you came out...high pressure sales does not work on me. Also, the fact that you showed me all your clients addresses and other information tells me you are willy nilly with peoples information. Trustworthy companies place liens if they are not paid....and If your work sucks, I do charge backs and get my money returned. Welcome to America....land of the customer. Anyways, I was told his wife would email me the estimate and what not.....lol....never heard back. STAY AWAY from this high pressure sales company. I am glad that people possibly had good work done by this man, but no way in hell am I paying before work is done. That's not how we do things in the real world. FIRED.
LaGreen's installed a brick mailbox for me and I'm very pleased with the results. It looks just like I requested. Their workers were courteous and prompt as well.
Recently, we contacted LaGreen's Masonry to build a brick mailbox at our home. The owners met with us personally to discuss the details of the project. The employees were very professional and friendly. They finished the job in less than a day and did a great job.
We agreed and paid a deposit of $175. It wasn't until October 19th did they repair the one wall. We had to call back several times to find out when they would be doing the other wall. Finally on October 30th, they came out to complete the job. Then they send us an invoice of $700 to replace both walls, even though we already had the original invoice of $350. After arguing with the owner he did agree for payment of $350. There was no sense of urgency on their part nor was there any kind of apology. The most aggravating issue is the brick isn't even close to matching. I wish I wouldn't of taken others advice and shopped around. My word of advice will be different when others ask around.
I am beyond upset with this company and how they conduct business. We live in a neighborhood that gives a lot of business to this company. Our one driveway entrance wall was knocked down. We called LaGreen's Masonry Company on September 26th and they quoted us $350 to replace both walls so they would match, since he couldnt promise to match our exact brick. On October 3rd we agreed to the job
