I went here for my last two pregnancies and when i delivered my first I was screamed at and told to shut up during my delivery! I let it slide because I figured she was just having a bad day. I went back for my second baby. I made it clear I did NOT want to be induced come the day before my due date I went in for my check up and she asked again if I wanted to be induced and I said no. She then asks if i wanted my membranes swept and I said no so she did it anyway but tried to “distract” me by talking to my husband who she hasn’t talked to the whole pregnancy. Then told me she scheduled an induction for the next day. I called and left several messages with the office manager and didn’t get a call back until I finally contacted a lawyer.
I have never been to a worse woman's clinic. 1. I had an IUD placed and had some questions and concerns and they never returned ANY of my phone calls and then when I asked for my records j have still received nothing. So if you are looking for a caring woman's health clinic this isn't the place.
I made an incoming patient appointment over the phone. They had my insurance confirmed as in network and I was a referral from my doctor. Mind you I have insurance issued by the city since I am a city employee. I got there gave them my card and asked if they needed a secondary just to have on file because it will not matter as to how the appointment is covered since my insurance covers it. The lady looked at me and her face dropped and her demeanor changed and she said I'm going to have to cancel your appointment we cannot see you. Talk about unprofessional, rude, and not even bothering to confirm that my insurance pays it she said it wouldn't which is her opinion...not even factual! If I could give less than a 1 I would. Terrible customer service and I hope the doctors know what is going on.
Today was my first visit and it went well. I didn’t have to wait long, the receptionists, nurse and my Dr were very nice and answered all of my questions even before I asked. I was so nervous from the reviews I’d read but I had a great experience and looking forward to my upcoming appointments
I have been a patient of Dr. Mcgowan for over 6 years and changed from their office for my current pregnancy. There was little availability for appointments with my physician and checking out there takes way too long. Then when I requested my records, they attempted to charge me 65.00-100.00 for them! Faxing them to my new OB would be free but they still have not faxed them when a request was placed over a week ago and I am in the middle of a pregnancy. They also gave me a hard time about a referral that was placed just as I was making the change of OBs because "my new doctor should take care of that". No-they should finish what they start. It's called continuity of care! The office has gotten too busy and lacks compassion.
